As we reach the one-year mark in our journey of swimming photography, I can reflect on the many ups and downs we've experienced. Your feedback has been invaluable, and we truly appreciate the responses you provide when we follow up after expressing interest in our services. Your input is crucial in helping us optimize our conversion rates from interest to final orders, which is essential for the sustainability of our business.
To streamline our processes, I want to share how we currently manage capturing your memories. On average, the two of us take around 12000 images per day during an event. Post-event, we meticulously review each photo to eliminate unflattering, out-of-focus, or obstructed images, ultimately narrowing it down to about a quarter of the original count. From there, we analyse the composition of each photo, focusing on those we consider to have the potential for purchase. This time-consuming process leaves us with the final images for our web gallery, which we enhance further to ensure the best possible presentation.
With this in mind, we are placing limits on slots for interest in our photography services. This adjustment will help us manage the total image count more effectively and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
We have also compiled data on interest and conversion rates, and used this information to reach out with our questionnaire. Many of you have responded, providing us with insight into areas where we can improve and what you seek in the photos you might purchase. However, we continue to face challenges with some participants who complete the interest forms without offering any feedback regarding their experiences or expectations. After careful thought, we have decided to prioritize the interests we receive, as the current conversion rates do not support the extensive effort we put into our work.
