Studio portraits can be for any reason at all; it certainly doesn't have to be a special occasion. At Key Photography Wigan we hold all our sittings from our studio at home in Marus Bridge, Wigan. We feel that this results in a more relaxed and homely environment which certainly appeals to those with children.
Our standard sittings are usually for the duration of 30 minutes. We feel this is an adequate amount of time as children in particular, often get restless. You can view the images as they are taken during the shoot and a typical shoot can produce approximately 100-200 images which are then uploaded directly to a password protected gallery on our website. You are then issued with a password and the gallery remains online until the following week.

Maternity
Pregnancy is a life-changing experience and there isn't a better time to record such a wonderful time in woman's life. No two pregnancies are ever the same and we know that this often isn't the time when some mum's feel at their best. Maternity shoots, are fast becoming increasingly popular. With our lighting skills and artistic eye we can immediately put the most unsure mum at ease once you're able to see how amazing some of the images can be! Maternity shoots are usually done about eight months into your pregnancy when your bump is blooming!
Newborns
These shoots are very time critical and must ideally take place within the first two weeks. At this age, they are still very sleepy and therefore, easy to place into specially adapted poses. We can use a variety of props including custom knitted hats which make for some adorable images. We also use this shoot to capture their features such as hands and feet whilst they are still newborn.
If you are considering such a shoot, contact us with your due date which we will then put into our diary. We then await to hear from you after the birth and we'll be happy to book you in at short notice.
Family/children
There's nothing more important than Family. We love to capture the hugs, the giggles, the kisses and moments of fun. We don't like to simply capture how you look and what you're wearing but the love and the relationships you share with each other. Our photographs capture moments gone forever so we want you to enjoy looking at them for years to come.
Glamour/model portfolio/boudoir

Cake smash
Turning one is a big deal! So how can you capture this momentous occasion for your little one? Then book one of our cake smash shoots. It's exactly what it says on the tin. An opportunity for your cheeky monkey to be let loose on their birthday cake and make as much mess as they like! As you can imagine, these make for some hilarious and creative images as you never quite know how they'll react. It's definitely not one to miss and makes that first birthday even more memorable.
Pets
If you're like us, our pets are a major part of the family so why not treat them like one and let us capture some modern photos that you'll be able to cherish forever. They can often provide us with some amusing moments and they have an innocence that can come across really well on camera.
